ITNAmerica has a network of 23 affiliates nationwide providing safe, affordable transportation in private automobiles for seniors and visually impaired adults. The service is available anytime, for any purpose, and enables older people to have safe driving alternatives. ITN drivers provide arm-through-arm, door-through-door service. Customers describe ITN as "the next best thing to driving" and "like driving with a friend."
With the support of Regeneron, ITNAmerica will implement new initiatives including the development of a nation-wide web-based, searchable database of transportation options and a toll free telephone service. Seniors and people with visual impairments who use the website or call the number will be able to find out about transportation options available in their local area. Regeneron is also sponsoring ITNAmerica's provision of funding for transportation to and from medical eye care services for ITN customers. In addition, to help address the severe lack of transportation options in certain areas of the country, Regeneron is offering certain matching grants to help communities set up new ITN affiliates.
